FLEETWOOD WASTE

Plan Your Construction Waste Volume

Estimate loose debris volume, separate dense materials, and prepare the measurements that help Fleetwood review your bin options.

SIMPLE VOLUME ESTIMATE

Measure a rough debris pile.

Enter the length, width and average height in feet. The tool treats the pile as a rectangular volume and converts cubic feet to cubic yards.

Irregular shapes, gaps and bulky items affect the result. Use this as a rough planning estimate and describe the actual load in your enquiry.

Enter measurements to see the estimated cubic yards.

UNDERSTAND THE NUMBERS

Cubic feet ÷ 27 = cubic yards.

A pile 9 feet long, 6 feet wide and 2 feet high is 108 cubic feet, or about 4 cubic yards. A 12 × 8 × 3 foot pile is 288 cubic feet, or about 10.7 cubic yards. These are volume examples, not bin or weight recommendations.

Measure the loose pile

Explain whether measurements describe material before removal or after it has been broken up. Loose debris can occupy a different volume.

Separate heavy material

Concrete, soil and other dense loads need rock-box and loading guidance. A small volume can still be heavy.

Describe awkward pieces

Long lumber, cabinets and bulky items leave gaps. Give their dimensions so the team can review container fit.

Does the estimate tell me the weight?

No. Material type and condition determine weight. Tell Fleetwood what the pile contains and follow the confirmed container and loading instructions. Contact Fleetwood to confirm the arrangements for your project.

Should I choose the next-largest bin automatically?

No. A larger bin is not automatically the right choice, particularly for dense material that needs a rock box. Compare the material, estimated loose volume and placement space with Fleetwood before booking. You can compare Fleetwood bin sizes and request a project quote for a recommendation.

Can I combine drywall, concrete and general waste?

No. Plan separate streams: a drywall-only bin for drywall, a suitable rock box for approved concrete, and a mixed-waste dumpster for approved general debris. Review the Material Guide and request a project quote listing each material so Fleetwood can arrange suitable containers.
